Staging Film is an experimental cross-medium project. We are a community of theater makers exploring new ways to tell stories with film. We meld the contemporary American stage and screen to create short translations rather than adaptations. This means experimenting with untraditional techniques in cinematography, set design, sound design, and performance to record the visceral magic of theater on camera. The result is something that does not fit neatly into a defined medium, but rather shines in the liminal space between.

Jocelyn Kuritsky is an actor, theater practitioner, & filmmaker.
Onscreen, recent & upcoming film credits as a performer and producer include Staging Film's Domesticity, Over The River & Through The Woods, 16 Words Or Less, We Will Be Ephemeral, This Thing of Ours, and more. Feature film credits include Nana Mensah’s Queen of Glory and Ghazi Albuliwi’s Peace After Marriage, opposite cult favorite Louise Lasser. Onstage, Jocelyn mostly works on new plays and new theatrical forms; and, as a performer, she has become a favorite among New York's downtown theater stalwarts, often portraying intense, fragile, and feral characters. Papermag calls her an "outstanding actor." She has appeared in more than 20 NYC productions, including premieres by Sheila Callaghan, Erik Ehn, Ken Urban, Rachel Bonds, Caridad Svich, The Assembly, and avant-garde theater legend, Mac Wellman.
Jocelyn is the creator of The Muse Project, a new initiative that moves women actors to the center by charging them to identify and generate the roles they want to play. She is also a founding member & the actor in residence of Woodshed Collective, one of the country’s leading immersive theater companies. With Woodshed, she has co-conceived productions such as KPop (2018 Richard Rodgers Award, 2018 Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Production, an Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best Unique Theatrical Experience, 7 Drama Desk Award nominations, and a Drama League nomination for Outstanding Production), Does It Hurt?, The Tenant (Patrick Lee Theater Blogger Award for Unique Off-Off Broadway Experience), Empire Travel Agency, The Confidence Man, 12 Ophelias, others.

Alex Basco Koch is a filmmaker and projection designer.
Alex has designed projections for plays, musicals, films and immersive art events, his work seen on Broadway, Off-Broadway, in regional theaters across the US, and in Central and South America and Europe. He created videos to play alongside the Magnetic Fields' international tour 50 Song Memoir and released a dozen of the works as official music videos through Nonesuch Records. In 2016 Alex's projection design work was featured in two films that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival: Norman Lear: Just Another Version of You, directed by Academy Award nominated filmmakers Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady; and Miles Ahead, directed by and starring Don Cheadle.
Alex co-directed Who Knows?, a short film mixing projection, puppetry and live action. His work as a film producer and editor has been seen at the Tribeca Film Festival. He was the director of photography and editor for a series of shorts titled My America Too with director Kwame Kwei-Armah. The series premiered at Baltimore Center Stage in 2016.
Alex has been nominated for a Drama Desk Award, two Lortel Awards, an Outer Critics Circle award, a Jeff Award, and two New York Innovative Theatre Awards.

Meghan Finn is a director & producer for stage, film, & unique theatrical experiences.

Rosalind Grush is a playwright & producer.
Rosalind Grush has worked in various administrative capacities with the Obie Award-winning theater company The Civilians, as well as The Playwrights Realm, Ars Nova, Pearldamour, Wolf 359, Sinking Ship Productions, Glass Bandits, and more. She has been a script-reader for SPACE on Ryder Farm, The Playwrights Realm, and The Relentless Theater Award. She has been on grant panels for the Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of New York, the Brooklyn Arts Council, and A.R.T./NY's Nancy Quinn Fund. She has been a guest speaker for classes at the Columbia Graduate School of the Arts, Bard College, Baruch College, and others. She has written several scripts that have been read or produced at The Tank in NYC.
She is a graduate of Columbia University and grew up in Los Angeles. She is the Co-Artistic Director of The Tank.

Stephanie Beattie is a multidisciplinary storyteller, designer, and editor.
Stephanie has a background in art, music, and communication, which gives her design and editing style a unique, musical, and inclusive perspective. She sees video and sound as integrated parts of a whole.
In addition to her work in short films and television, she has created both single and multichannel montages of archival footage for the screen and for theatrical settings, telling stories about complex subjects like political history (Detroit 67, One Night in Miami) as well as individual, everyday stories (The Magnetic Fields). She uses her practice as a video artist to inform the choices she makes as an editor: She is always looking to highlight the strongest features of the project at hand and to empathetically communicate the vision of the project to its viewers.
Moti Margolin is an actor, performer, playwright, translator, videographer, editor, and sometimes song-writer.
Moti currently works with the World Wresting Entertainment (WWE) company doing Russian ring-side commentary. As a playwright, he has written several pieces and has experience translating Chekhov. Additionally, Moti has a media production company - Samovar Film Productions - specializing in actor services, and theater-on-film, which led him to working with Staging Film on several pieces, in various capacities, all for which he is very grateful. Lindsay Schapiro is a digital marketer by day, theatre-maker and songwriter by night.
Lindsay attended Wesleyan University where she studied music, dramatic literature and playwriting. There, she penned, directed and produced original dramatic and musical productions, receiving honors for her thesis - an interactive musical dramatization of the life of Bruce Springsteen titled 'Highway Alive.’ Following her time at Wesleyan, Lindsay dipped her toes in the music industry and has been helping artists navigate the ways of the digital landscape ever since. She currently works at Mom + Pop Music, an independent record label based in New York City managing the digital properties and strategy for both the label and signed artists. In her spare and weekend time, Lindsay has stayed close to the theatre, working on productions for the Fringe Festival and Staging Film.

Anna Rooney is a freelance creative producer, educator, and DJ in Brooklyn.
Anna holds a bachelor's degree from St. Cloud University in Music Education, a Masters in New Media and Global Education from Appalachian State University, and she studied Performing Arts Management at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Anna co-founded Peppercorn Theatre at the Children's Museum of Winston-Salem, where she was the Theatre Producing Director and the Museum Education Programs Manager. Also in North Carolina, she was a backup singer for Judy Barnes, sat on the Board of Directors of the Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, conceived and managed the innovative “Winston-Salem Telephone Project” and participated in Arts Enterprise Lab at the Thomas S. Winslow Corbett is an actor and makeup artist.
Winslow lives in New York City, was born in Los Angeles, and holds dual US/Canadian citizenship. She appears in a recurring guest star role on Season 4 of HBO’s Emmy Award winning comedy Veep, with Julia Louis Dreyfus. Other screen work includes Lifetime’s A Change of Heart, Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Nation, with Greg Giraldo, the award winning web series The Digressions, and Submissions Only.
New York stage credits include The Skin Game (Mint Theater Company), Romulus Linney’s Lark (Ensemble Studio Theatre) and …Other Elegant Lies (Incubator Arts). Winslow’s regional theatre work includes two seasons at The Old Globe Shakespeare Festival, the National Tour of The Graduate, Nora Ephron’s Love, Loss, and What I Wore at the Geffen Playhouse, Private Lives at Laguna Playhouse, Noises Off at South Coast Rep, You Can’t Take It With You and Trying (Rubicon Theatre, StageSceneLA Award), Arcadia and Grand Magic (A Contemporary Theatre), among many others.
Winslow studied acting at SUNY Purchase. She is the daughter of Rockford Files supporting player Gretchen Corbett (Beth Davenport). She is named after her ancestor Henry Winslow Corbett, an Oregon pioneer and United States Senator. In addition to her career as a performer, Winslow is a Regional VP and consultant for Arbonne Cosmetics.

Solomon Bilinkoff is a filmmaker, musician and theater artist
Solomon lives in Brooklyn, NY and has a passion for the Manhattan Bridge, as well as new and experimental forms of storytelling. He got his Bachelor's in Theater and Film Studies (with Honors in the latter) from Wesleyan University in 2014. His current film project is Suspended NYC: New York City Neighborhoods In Slow Motion and it is available to view here. He is a professional freelance editor, having worked on short films, feature films, and short documentary content. His editor's reel is here and his experimental hip-hop mixtape is here. She is the current Executive Director of THE MUSE PROJECT - a NYC-based company focused on amplifying female voices in the theatre by developing work around female actors. She also co-founded the Washington DC Coalition for Theatre & Social Justice with Annalisa Dias - a coalition dedicated to creating productive alliances between artists, activists, and communities in the District of Columbia in order to face shared social, economic, health and human rights issues together.
